Davidsonville MD Dentist Office First Visit

wooddell and passaro dentsit office

Dr. Wooddell and Dr. Passaro practice dentistry as a team, providing patients with comprehensive, consultative care that is based on a thorough evaluation of all aspects of your oral health. We use a unique diagnostic and treatment protocol that was developed and is now taught by Drs. Wooddell and Passaro. The Systematic Treatment Evaluation Protocol (STEP™) seeks to address the four main factors affecting the health of your smile: Esthetics, Function, Structure and Biology.

Our team is one of the most highly trained and experienced in the area, often treating patients who are experiencing a dental health relapse or deteriorating dental health as a result of ineffective dental work or a lack of dental care. We offer personalized dentistry that identifies underlying dental problems that can impact the outcome and integrity of your dentistry if left untreated.

First Visit: What To Expect

When you visit with us for the first time, our goal is to obtain an in depth understanding of the condition of your oral health, your personal concerns and any possible aesthetic goals you may have. We want to be able to provide treatment that will support all of these needs and withstand the test of time.

Using the STEP protocol, our team will evaluate the health and function of your teeth, gums and jaw joints using a variety of tools, including digital diagnostics and imagery. Plan to spend about 90 minutes in our Davidsonville dental office for the initial visit with us.

At the next visit, called a diagnosis, we will discuss our findings with you and recommend any necessary treatment(s). In most cases, a professional dental cleaning will be scheduled for the next visit. If additional dental care is needed to bring your teeth and/or gums back to a healthy state, we will coordinate your care and schedule appointments as necessary.

Drs. Wooddell and Passaro believe in the value of a collaborative doctor-patient relationship, based upon patient education, individualized care, and communication. We build lifelong relationships with our patients for the enjoyment of long-term oral health.
