Sensitivity With Bleaching

  • Try using Sensodyne Toothpaste in the trays for 15 minutes prior to bleaching.
  • Stop bleaching and call the office.

Temporary Crown Off

  • Try using Vaseline to put the temporary back in.
  • Call the office to have the crown re-cemented.

Temporary Veneer Off

  • Try using Vaseline to put the temporary back in.
  • Call the office to have the veneer re-cemented.

Temporary Bridge Out

  • Try using Vaseline to put the temporary back in.
  • Call the office to have the bridge re-cemented.

Permanent Crown Off and/or Broken

  • Call the office ASAP for an appointment.

Permanent Veneer Off and/or Broken

  • Call the office ASAP for an appointment.

Permanent Bridge Out and/or Broken

  • Call the office ASAP for an appointment.

Sensitivity With Permanent Crowns

  • Call the office and speak to your doctor’s assistant. Can be triaged over the phone but may also require an appointment in our office for observation or bite adjustment. Sometimes it takes awhile for the nerve of the tooth to calm down.

Sensitivity With Temporary Crowns

  • Call the office and speak to your doctor’s assistant. Can be triaged over the phone but may also require an appointment in our office for observation or bite adjustment. Sometimes it takes awhile for the nerve of the tooth to calm down.

Sensitivity With Composite Restorations

  • Call the office and speak to your doctor’s assistant. Can be triaged over the phone but may also require an appointment in our office for observation or bite adjustment. Sometimes it takes awhile for the nerve of the tooth to calm down.

Sore Spots With Dentures

  • Call the office ASAP for an appointment. The denture may require a slight adjustment.

Tooth Broken Off Denture / Partial / Flipper

  • Call the office ASAP. Depending upon your situation, the denture / partial / flipper may be dropped off for repair.
  • This may also require an appointment.

Toothaches In General

  • Take 800mg of Ibuprofen every 4-6 hours for dental pain.
  • Call the office for your situation to be triaged.
  • May require an appointment for observation and/or treatment.

Broken Appliance (Nightguard, CR Splint, Anterior Bite Plane)

  • Call the office ASAP.
  • New alginate impressions may need to be taken for fabrication of the new appliance.
